Oystercatcher View is an ideal retreat for couples seeking a romantic countryside escape or for families looking to reconnect with nature and enjoy a slower pace of life.

On arrival, you’ll be welcomed with a hamper including tea, coffee, sugar, milk, hot chocolate, marshmallows, and a freshly baked homemade cake, ready and waiting in your hut.

NEW for 2026, we have added a TV with Netflix and WiFi for those rainy days.

Living Area

The open-plan living space has been thoughtfully designed for comfort and flexibility. It features a king-size bed alongside a bunk bed suitable for two children. For couples, the top bunk conveniently folds away to create a comfortable seating area. The dining table and additional bench slide out from beneath the king-size bed, providing a relaxed space for meals or games. There is ample cupboard storage and hanging space for all your belongings. Heating is provided by a plinth heater to keep the hut warm and cosy, with a towel radiator in the bathroom for added comfort.

 

We have Starlink Wi-Fi and there is a strong 4G signal and a selection of games to keep you entertained.

Kitchen

The fully equipped kitchen includes a full-size fridge, hob, combi microwave, and all the utensils and cookware needed to prepare delicious home-cooked meals during your stay.

Bathroom

The en-suite bathroom features a flushing toilet, an unlimited hot water shower, and a stylish copper basin. Fresh towels are provided, along with body wash. Guests are also supplied with dressing gowns and slippers, perfect for using when enjoying the outdoor bath.

Outside Area

Step out through the stable door onto a ramp leading down to the decking area, where fairy lights illuminate the outdoor bath in the evenings and a bench offers the perfect spot to take in the stunning views. Around the side of the hut, you’ll find a picnic bench and a fire pit with grill for outdoor cooking and dining. The garden area is fully fenced and secure, allowing children to explore safely. A firewood pack, including matches, firelighters, kindling, and logs, is provided for use with the fire pit.

 

Dogs

One well-behaved dog is welcome at Oystercatcher View, with plenty of scenic walks on your doorstep. There is an additional charge of £25 per stay. We provide dog hamper of a towel/blanket, dog bowls, treats and dog bags. Please bring your own dog bed, keep dogs off the furniture, clean paws before entering the hut, and do not leave dogs unattended. Livestock may be present in nearby fields, so please be mindful if your dog is unused to farm animals.

A private car park is located next to the shepherd’s hut site and includes a secure, lockable bike shed with space for up to four mountain bikes.
